So many laptop makers (in the past), as a marketing tool, they sold you a 32 bits laptop with 8 GB RAM. Why? because you have access to all the memory and with 32 bits, you only have access to 4 GB of RAM. What you state is very interesting, because most of the video editing software (serious and professional software) run in 64 bits.
